My fiance and were headed up to Dublin from Singapore for 3 day conference. Neither of us has ever been to Ireland so we decided to take a spontaneous engagement photo shoot in Dublin after hearing about how beautiful and quaint the city can be in the evening. We ran through some searches online and True Shot Photography was one of those whom we have shortlisted based on the reviews and amazing portfolio we saw on their website.

By a twist of fate, both my fiance and i assumed that each other had made arrangements on the shoot and happily left for Dublin. Finally, when the day for our planned photo shoot arrived, we realised that neither of us had confirmed the photographer for the day. In our wild state of panic, we decided to ring up the companies on our shortlist at 5pm to arrange for a photoshoot that very evening. To my enormous relief, Sara (from True Shot Photography) picked up the line and informed me that their photographers were wrapping up a shoot and could rush down right after for a evening photoshoot with us. Sara was very patient, reassuring and helpful in making the last minute arrangements and even gave us amazing suggestions to prep us for the evening shoot.

By 6.30pm, Austin (artistic director) and Laurence (photographer) arrived at our hotel lobby to take us  out on our shoot. As though sensing our nervousness, both Austin and Laurence frequently cracked jokes and chatted with us while we made our way to the various locations in Dublin city by foot. By the time we reached our first location, we felt so comfortable and at such ease with our photographers that we lost our initial nervousness and settled right in to the shoot.

Austin gave fantastic advice and found the most stunning and historic backdrops for our photos while Laurence captured the most beautiful moments we had in the city that evening. They laughed and joked with us through the entire 2 hours shoot and gave us such a memorable evening. They even helped us with our bags and made sure we were comfortable and well taken care of through the entire shoot. Needless to say, we were given a very illuminating walking-tour around the city and managed to capture the most spectacular locations in the city, with nice stories to boot.

The pictures were edited and sent to us within a short span of 3 days from the shoot, and boy were we blown away! Laurence and Austin managed to capture us in such romantic yet edgy images. We were particularly pleased that the images looked very editorial and wasn’t the typically stuffy engagement photos we were trying to avoid. To us, the most important aspect of an engagement shoot is to be able to capture us in our happiest and most natural state and both Laurence and Austin managed to help us achieve that! We are honestly very impressed by the efficiency, quality and service of True Shot Photography as they really go out of their way to assist us and make us feel comfortable and welcomed in a foreign land. Apart from the very amazing photos which all my friends and family complimented on when we got back, we felt very thankful to have made these new friends in Dublin and immensely grateful for this wonderful experience with True Shot Photography.
